Lots of beautiful arrivals this Monday morning.
The forecast for later this week and the weekend is looking sweet. We have a vast array of fresh options to consider.
In from Panama are multiple species of Snappers. Lanes and Muttons to be specific.
From Ocean City we have a very unique item. Fresh Jonah Crab claws. Cooked minutes after reaching the docks, these are a fantastic alternative to the Florida Stone Crab. Very similar in sweetness as well as look, the price can't be beat ay $4.95 per pound. Expect about 5-6 claws per pound.
Plenty of pretty local Flounder just arrived. Stiff as a board.
A large shipment of Tuna just came in from our friends in the Pacific, they know their Tuna in Hawaii.
A east coast fish that is gaining in popularity is the Golden Tilefish. Many veteran gourmets compare the meat of the Tile to that of the Lobster. Perhaps it is the fact that shellfish make up about 80% of this deep water fishes diet.
Fresh whole Mahi just arrived from Costa Rica.
From Mississippi, a shipment of farm-raised Striped Bass just landed on our docks. These fish are sushi quality.
Over a thousand pounds of whole Halibut arrived this morning. The price is really coming down and the fish are gorgeous. They won't last long.
Our allies in Scotland sent us a large shipment of Salmon this morning. Both organic and standard farm-raised Atlantic, the cutting room smells like fresh melon.
On the crabmeat front, we have plenty of fresh domestic jumbo and lump, as well as Venezuelan product. Both are excellent.
Also available are the fish from the Northeast; Cod, Pollack, Haddock, and Monk. We also get our fresh squid from "The Red Sox Nation", aka Boston, the mecca for east coast seafood.
Thank You for choosing Profish!!!
