Cooler News for Mother's Day Weekend 2009





Happy Mother's Day for all of the moms that cook for a living!!



Profish will be open for delivery this Sunday. There is a $250.00 minimum and delivery times are not guaranteed. All orders must be placed before 3:00 Sunday morning to assure delivery.





Today's fresh selections include:


Wild King Salmon from the Canadian side of the Columbia River. These are exceptional fish.


Grouper and large Mutton Snappers from the Mexico side of the Gulf of Mexico. Excellent quality and both are good eating fish.


Bigeye Tuna from Trinidad and Tobago as well as Yellowfin Tuna from the Marshall Islands. These are all #1 and 2+ and are great cooked rare or medium rare.


There is as small shot of Virginia caught Rockfish. They are weighing in between 8-12#. Call for pricing.


From Ocean City we have medium sized Black Bass and large Grey Tile. As they are both locally caught, they have a very low carbon footprint and are of top notch quality.


Sword from Chili are looking like diamonds. All over 100# with nice red bloodlines.


There is Cod, Skate and Fluke Flounder from Massachusetts.


Halibut from Alaska and Canada is always great in the spring.





Farm raised fish and seafood include:


Branzini from Greece (400-600gr), great in any whole fish application.


Catfish fillets from Mississippi.


Tilapia from Costa Rica


Hybrid Striped Bass


Rainbow Trout from the Snake River in Idaho.


Arctic Char from the icy waters of Iceland. (sorry for the pun)


Atlantic Salmon from Scotland, Norway and Canada.


Kona Kampachi from Hawaii





Shellfish:


Scallops from New England in all sizes from U-10 to 20-30 and 60-80 Mexican Bays Scallops.


Lobsters from Canada and Massachusetts.


Oysters, including Bluepoints from Long Island Sound (CT and NY), Wellfleets and Malpeques.


Clams from Virginia (little and pasta necks) and Rhode Island (top necks)


We have a few Manilla Clams as well. These are delicious.


Mussels from Prince Edward Island, Canada.





And finally softshell crabs. We are getting these in daily and selling out daily. Please call ahead for pricing and to preorder to assure you get the first priority.
